按工藝區(qū)分，分為彩色紙箱、牛皮紙箱（也叫黃箱）。彩色紙箱需要彩色印刷機印出來漂亮的面紙，再與瓦楞紙用貼面機進(jìn)行貼合，然后再進(jìn)行下一步的模切或者開槽加工成半成品，最后進(jìn)行和箱，和箱方式一般為膠水粘合也叫粘箱，金屬釘箱，簡稱釘箱，最后打包為成品。
按類型區(qū)分，可分為對口箱、飛機盒、抽屜盒、禮品盒、天地蓋等類型，分別用于不同的行業(yè)和需求。
按原材料區(qū)分，可按照紙板的瓦楞楞形來區(qū)分，瓦楞紙板的楞型主要分為四種：A楞、B楞、C楞和E楞。一般而言，用于外包裝的紙箱主要采用A、B、C楞型紙板；中包裝采用B、E楞型；小包裝則多使用E楞紙板。
按材料層數(shù)區(qū)分，比較常見的為3層和5層。
按組合區(qū)分，3層常用的有C楞、B楞、E楞,從厚到薄，同樣材質(zhì)越薄越硬，強度越高。5層常用的有BC楞和BE楞，前者厚緩沖力好，但相對軟，后者薄但硬而且強度高，分別用于不同需求。
按用途區(qū)分:(里、面)紙、瓦楞紙、芯紙
按顏色區(qū)分：黃紙（?？垼?、白紙
按物理性能區(qū)分：A級、B級、C級、A1、B2級等等
按克重區(qū)分：125g、140g、150g、160g、175g、200g、220g、250g甚至更高。

According to the raw materials, it can be distinguished according to the corrugated shape of the corrugated board. The corrugated board is mainly divided into four types: A, B, C and E. Generally speaking, cartons used for outer packaging mainly use a, B and C-shaped cardboard; B and e ridge type shall be adopted for medium packaging; E-board is often used for small packages.
According to the number of material layers, 3 and 5 layers are common.
According to the combination, the common three layers are C, B and e. from thick to thin, the thinner the same material, the harder and the higher the strength. Commonly used in the five layers are BC ridge and be ridge. The former is thick with good cushioning but relatively soft, and the latter is thin but hard with high strength, which are used for different needs.

Distinguish by color: yellow paper (Kraft linerboard) and white paper
By physical properties: Class A, B, C, A1, B2, etc
By gram weight: 125g, 140g, 150g, 160g, 175g, 200g, 220g, 250g or even higher.
